I am so sad and my heart breaks for all of you, but Azure, most of all. Just ask your grandpa, I know how it feels to lose a father, especially so suddenly. Simply put, it sucks. The best you can do is to take care of yourself and when you’re in a tight spot, think of what he would say. It will get you through. Saying I am sorry for your loss sounds hokie and insignificant, but it is heartfelt and honest. May God hold all of you tight in His arms and carry you through your grief. Love to you all, Birdy

We have all lost a good man, with a heart of gold. His time here was short, but he had such a grand impact on everyone who met him. The world seems a quieter, lonelier place now without him.

I feel deeply saddened and hurt by the loss of Ed. My thoughts and positive vibes are being sent your way, in a time where I can’t even begin to understand how much Ed must have meant to your family. Ed was a very close friend of mine, I live many miles away, but Ed is always close in my heart. Edward was a stand up guy, for real, he lived his life doing what he wanted. He was always so helpful to people in need. He was humorous, kind, real, loyal, loving, caring, smart, happy, helpful, energetic, staunch, and strong. I’m glad I got to know Ed Tyler so well. Without Ed in my life, I’m not sure where I’d be now. I will always have loving memories of my very good friend, Ed Tyler.

Thinking of you, Roger Andrew Learned

My heart is so heavy today. Eddie has been on my mind since I heard of his passing. I am SURE we would have seen him out to the first show on Sunday at Weber’s Deck. Though it was forecasted as a 70% chance of rain, it stayed dry for all but about 5 minutes. Pretty sure he had something to do with that. He will be missed. This Sunday’s show out at Weber’s Deck will be dedicated to him.

    RIP, Bro.

I remember you, Ed, as Dan and Eddie Dollys friend. I am sad to see a young man have his life cut short and a young father pass from his beloved child. Rest in peace, Ed, and know that you had many friends who care.

Eddie was such a powerful force in the world, he touched so many lives and somehow he would just be there whenever he was needed. I still wonder how he was able to be so many places at one time. He is in a better place now, I am happy for him. I just don’t know how to stop being sad because I miss him. I love you Eddie T, I will always hold you in my heart. I know he is all around us, his energy was so strong he could never really be gone. To Ed’s family: I am so sorry for your loss and no words could ever express my gratitude for bringing such a wonderful person into this world!!

Ed was a wonderful friend. I knew Ed since we were 11 years old. Every time I saw Ed he would give me a great big hug.
I remember a time when we went to a movie, him and his parents picked me up in their hearse, which I thought was freaky (at that time anyway) and afterwards they thought it would be fun to go out on Buffalo Lake (it was winter of course). I totally freaked out because I thought we would go thru the ice. Ed’s Dad did “donuts” and Ed just smiled and laughed and held my hand to comfort my fears. We would laugh at that memory every time. Throughout high school and after, he was the friend who you could count on to be there for you.
I will miss Ed. My thoughts & prayers are with his family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was truly a great person and will be missed deeply.

I have known and been friends with Ed since first grade. He has always been the guy that anyone could be friends with. We had such a blast together at the 10 year reunion, and it makes me so sad that he won’t be at the next one. My heart goes out to his family and all of his friends. I know he was loved by many.

To Ed’s family, I was so sorry to read about the accident in the paper today. I remember all of the fun we had growing up together in the
neighborhood. I remember dragging him to school when neither of us really wanted to go. But I will always remember Eddie’s voice of reason and for the little I may have given him, he gave me a lot more. My sincerest condolences on your loss.

Ed- You were always the first to arrive and the last to leave. We had many, many good and great times together, just the two of us, but more often with many friends. I know all of our good and excellent friends are together remembering you as you are: a wonderful friend, a fan of (sometimes lousy) music (you always made fun of dream theater and rush, you jerk), you were someone we could count on. When I was feeling low, you always had a way of kicking me in the ribs just enough to make me laugh and forget what was getting me down in the first place. On the rare occasion that you were down, I happily returned the favor. You always offered (usually unsolicited) advice and perspective on life and problems of life and the community and the world, and it was received as it was intended; with good humor. Good humor, good music, good meat, good beer, good times. Always. The Monticello VFW was barely big enough for you alone, I hope it can handle all of your friends. We will all miss you and remember the great times we each and all had with you.
