Edgar Louis Klucas, age 75, of Monticello passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
He was born on April 16, 1934 in Monticello the son of Fredrick A. & Ina Monrean Klucas.
Edgar was baptized at the Methodist Church in Monticello.
He purchased fifty acres in the late 1950’s west of Monticello. Edgar raised a few cattle, horses and mules there. The property eventually became known as Klucas Junk Yard which he owned and operated for many years.
Edgar loved draft horses and John Deere tractors!
Survived by a sister, Beatrice (Jerry) Barthel of Monticello; special friends, Brandon (Denise) Mitchell and daughter Olivia, Tom Moores and family; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Fredrick and Ina Klucas.
Funeral services for Edgar Klucas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 7th at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Reverend Penny Fritze-Tietz officiated at the funeral service.
Interment Riverside Cemetery, Monticello, MN.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon, April 7th one hour prior to services.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Michael Barthel, Jean Poach and Bill Moores.
Casket Bearers will be Dana Barthel, Bradley Barthel, Robert Barthel, Brandon Mitchell, Tom Moores and Jason Moores.
