Dr. Brian Edward Rupert, age 56 of Monticello, MN, passed away June 15, 2023.

He was born on September 4, 1966 in St. Paul, MN to John and Mary (Plante) Rupert. Brian attended Jefferson High School, and then went on to begin his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. His accomplished academic career led him to being accepted into medical school at the University of Iowa. After graduation, he began his residency back at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where he finally completed his education to become a Doctor of Anesthesiology.

He was employed at CentraCare in Monticello, and was previously the Chief of Staff.

On January 30, 2007, he was joined in marriage to Susanne Shamsolkottabi on the beautiful island of Maui. The best was yet to come when he became a father. He loved spending time with friends and family out on the lake tubing and enjoying the sunshine at their cabin on Woman Lake near Nisswa. Brian enjoyed fishing and playing cards as well.

Brian is survived by his wife, Susanne; daughters, Cassandra Lynn and Darby Jean; son, David Nordsletten; parents, John and Mary Rupert; siblings, David (Veronica) Rupert and Amanda Rupert; niece, Audrey Rupert; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo, MN (119 Central Avenue). Interment will be held at Dawn Valley Memorial Park in Bloomington, MN on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
