Douglas Keith Henderson, age 40 of Rockford , died Thursday, June 12, 2008 after loosing his battle with colon cancer.

Douglas was born on June 27, 1967 in Chaska to Keith and Shirley (nee Rolf) Henderson. They moved to Montrose in the early 1980™s and Doug attended high school in Buffalo . Doug worked for a time at the Wave Car Wash in St. Louis Park . For many years he was employed at Scoville Press in Plymouth . Since 2003, Doug worked at R.R. Donnelley in Maple Grove. On August 6, 2004 he married Heidi Moe at the St. Michael Trinity Chapel. He enjoyed reading, playing disc golf and board games. He was especially grateful for the time he got to spend with his family.

Doug is survived by his loving wife and their small children: Sophie and James; father, Keith of Montrose; siblings: Paula (Jeff) Sandstrom of Forest Lake, Jonathan (Kathi) Henderson of Annandale, and Robyn Henderson of Rockford; parents-in-law: Roger and Katherine Moe of Clear Lake, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Amy (Joe) Sigsworth also of Clear Lake, WI; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles, and a grandniece. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Memorials are preferred to the Douglas Henderson Benefit Fund at Wells Fargo Bank. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Peterson Chapel “ Buffalo . Visitation begins at 11:30 A.M. Honorary bearers are: Bill Mahler, Shelby Sandstrom, Jordan Henderson, Morgan Bryant, Katie Sigsworth, Andrew Sigsworth, and Adam Sigsworth
