Visitation Information

Dorothy Mae Glunz, age 87 of Willmar died Friday, August 29th , 2008 at The Bethesda Nursing Home in Willmar.

She was born on March 20, 1921 in Hallock, Minnesota the daughter of William & Delia Emon Hutchins.

She was a longtime dietician at Texas Terrace Care Center in St. Louis Park.

Dorothy was a great cook!

She enjoyed riding horses, attending Rodeos and parades.

Survived by children: Leona (Bob) Zimmerman of Hudson, Florida, Joyce (John) Schulte of New Auburn, Wisconsin, Juanita (Lloyd) Knapek of Foley, Diana (Greg) Paumen of Maple Lake and Tammie (Bruce) Anderson of Murdock; step son: Leo (Velma) Glunz of Zimmerman ; step daughter: Elizabeth (David) Schmaltz of Buffalo; 33 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren; a brother: Howard Hutchins of Merrifield; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by husbands: Dan Stumpf & George Glunz, daughters: Janette Johnson and Beverly Stumpf. Step sons: Thomas & Eugene Glunz, an infant grandson, a granddaughter: Victoria Cummings, her parents and by a brother: Charles Hutchins.

Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Glunz was held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 3rd at The Church of St. Francis in Buffalo. Father David Hennen was the Celebrant and interment followed at St. Francis Cemetery.

A visitation was held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, September 2nd at The Peterson Chapel. A Prayer Service was 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.

Casket Bearers were Wayne Wilson, Mark Herbst, Tony Anderson, Sean and Scott Glunz and Dustin Hoffman.

    Tammy and family,
    Thanks for the phone call, we are so sorry to hear of Aunt Dorothy’s passing, she was, truly a wonderful person! We have fond memories of spending time with Uncle George, Aunt Dorothy and all of you-our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
