Dorothy Mae Enger, age 89, of Buffalo passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at her residence. She grew up in Minneapolis, MN, the 6th of 8 children. Dorothy married Ted Enger on December 14th, 1952. They lived in Minneapolis and later moved to Buffalo, MN. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, growing her garden, baseball and her job. She retired on October 1, 1993 after 30 years of exemplary service to Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in the Sister Kenny’s Rehabilitation Unit. Her life’s ministry was to intercede in prayer for anyone who needed it. She hosted a ladies prayer group faithfully twice a month. It was her joy to lift up loved ones, friends and even strangers in prayer. Only God knows how many miracles were wrought for others because of her fervent prayers. Survived by a daughter: Sandra (Harlan) Johnsrud of Austin, MN; a son: Lloyd (Shelly) Enger of Shorewood, MN; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren & 2 great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband Theodore R. “Ted” Enger.
Funeral Services for Dorothy Enger was held on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at The Buffalo Assembly of God Church in Buffalo. Pastor Bill Hicks officiated. Interment followed at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, July 20th one hour prior to services AT THE CHURCH.
Honorary Casket Bearers were Lisa & Dave Wolvington, LeAnne Lenz, Sarah Ronning, Kari Stepp and Kristin Enger.
Casket Bearers were Tedd Enger, Dave Lenz, Eric Enger, Nathan Ronning, Kirk Enger, Chris Stepp, Scott Johnsrud and Bill Krumholz.
