Dorothy Elinor (Johnson) Schutte, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. She was born in West Marshland, WI to Axel and Agnes Lorena (Hanson) Johnson.
She was baptized and confirmed in the in the Lutheran Catechism and Confirmed in the Christian Faith on February 25, 1943 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corcoran by Pastor Barlow.
On August 25, 1942, Dorothy Johnson and Alfred C. Schutte were united in marriage in Pine City, MN by Pastor Steging.
Dorothy was active in the Corcoran Seniors for many years. She enjoyed entering cakes, pies and sewing at the Hennepin County Fair.
Preceded in death by her parents, Axel and Lorena Johnson; brothers, Robert, Earl, and Gene; sisters, her twin Doris, and Gertrude; husband, Alfred Schutte in 1993; and son, Harland Schutte in 1966.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (John) Kohnen, Susan (James) Kolasa; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one due in October; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Judy Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 2:00 PM with visitation at 12:30 PM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9141 County Rd 101, Corcoran MN. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
