Dorothy B. Bourdon, age 89 of Buffalo, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Buffalo hospital.
Dorothy Belle was born on October 7, 1919 in Davenport, Iowa to “Mac” Orlon and Norma (nee Speth) Brooks. She attended Davenport High School. She married Richard Blomberg and they were blessed with the birth of Richard Blomberg, Jr. She later married Guy Lucine Bourdon and relocated to St. Paul. They were blessed with the birth of Robert “Bob” Bourdon. In Dorothy’s later years, she moved to Buffalo to live first at Sunrise Cottages, and then at Lake Ridge Care Center. Dorothy loved people, fun, and music. She enjoyed many craft forms and loved all of the activities at her two Buffalo residences.
Dorothy Bourdon is survived by sons, Richard (Sandy) Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Bob (D’Arcy) Bourdon, Monticello; eight grandchildren: Roger, Diane, and twins: Stephanie, and Stephan Blomberg, and Robert, and triplets: Makenna, Lauren, and Kyle Bourdon; ten great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 1st, at The Peterson Chapel – Buffalo Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Dake officiating. The Hymns will be: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, and “When We All Get To Heaven”. The organist is D’Arcy Bourdon. The visitation is Tuesday, 5:30 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home and resumes Wednesday, one hour before the funeral. Burial is at Fort Snelling.
