Donna Marie (Wachtler) Swenson, age 63, passed away January 23, 2020 in Buffalo, Minnesota.
She was born on February 27, 1956 in Crystal, Minnesota to Donald and Phyllis (Hoysler) Wachtler.
She attended Grace High School, and went on to further her education in cosmetology school.
Donna moved to various places, and for 10 years she lived in Florida, operating her salon business. Eventually she made her way back to Minnesota to be closer to her family and friends.
She was a kind and loving mother to her three children, and was devoted to placing her family first. Friends and family could always count on her to help in any situation, whether it was moving or taking care of those who were sick. She had a genuine, kind personality but could also tell it like it is!
Donna would often take her family on picnics to Big Lake and Elm Creek where they’d play volleyball and spend the day enjoying each other’s company. She stayed very active and enjoyed biking, kayaking, being at the beach or lake, and going out with her sisters to try their luck at bingo.
She is preceded in death by mother, Phyllis Wachtler; and sister, Nancy Koecher.
Donna is survived by children, Jeanie (Don) Helmbrecht, Kristie Kresa Sogard, and Gerrod (April) Kresa; grandchildren, Hannah, Mitchell, Jay, Luke, and Bradley; father, Donald Wachtler; 8 sisters; 2 half-sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
