Mrs. Breidenbach was a lovely lady. I knew her through our church (Hope Lutheran). One Sunday morning she said I know where you were last night! And I was quite surprised. I had attended a concert by the St. Charles County Orchestra. After that day, we exchanged our musical stories along with regular pleasantries. I was saddened when she first became ill and had to leave us. She was very kind to my children. I know she is with her husband and singing and smiling. Thank you for sharing your kindness with my family and your love and generosity with this world. You will be missed.
I am just now learning of Donna’s passing. My sympathies. She and husband Mel were chaperones for the B-10 bus of America’s Youth In Concert, 1972. Man, we played all over. Many years passed before I got re-acquainted with Donna, and we ended up with a very fun friendship. I sent my last Christmas card to her at her Rockford address, hope she got it. My generation was a little “wild” for our trip. Mel and Donna hung in there. Such an unforgettable experience. Had the pleasure of seeing Donna again at a Glenwood MN hotel, I had my elderly parents with me. Had a photo taken. May God bless her memory.
I just learned of Donna’s death when a card I sent was returned. Donna’s husband, Mel was my mom’s cousin, and I used to see a lot of her while Mel & others of mom’s family were still living, & before she moved to Minnesota. I last visited her when she was in Burnsville, shortly before her move to Buffalo. She was such a sweet person, & I enjoyed our times together!
