Donald R. Tesch, age 92, formerly of Buffalo & Waverly passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at The St. Cloud Hospital.

He was born in New Germany on March 29, 1916 the son of William Fredrick & Ida Emma Manthey Tesch.
On November 9, 1938 Donald Tesch and Anita Bartels were united in marriage in Plato. Following their marriage Donald and Anita moved to St. Paul where they lived for a time before moving (in the mid-late 40’s) to their farm in Waverly. Donald engaged in farming and drove semi-truck for The National Tea Company.
He enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels as well as giving his dog food treats.
Donald also enjoyed watching for many hours, the game show channel on cable TV.
Survived by sons: Byron (LaVerne) Tesch, Boerne, TX, and Kenneth Carl Tesch, Kerrville, TX; daughters: Shirley Styrbicky, Monticello, Barbara (Donald) Ottenstroer, Motley, Judy (Ted) Erickson, and Mildred (Donald) Klarstrom, all of Montrose; daughter-in-law, Janet Tesch of Staples; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Carl (Darlene) Bartels; sisters-in-law: Milda Bartels, and Monica Tesch; nieces, nephews, other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anita Tesch in 2007, a son, William “Bill” Tesch; a grandson: Chad Ottenstroer, a great granddaughter: Tiffany Styrbicky, his parents and brothers: Stanford, Roland and Byron Tesch.

Funeral services for Donald Tesch were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at The United Methodist Church in Montrose with Reverend Delburn Kurtz officiating.

Jackie Vanderlinde was the organist and special music was provided by Darci Stroud.
A visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4:30-7:30 P.M.
Casket Bearers were Ben Larson, Brandon Williams, Randy Bryant, Joshua Erickson, Shane Erickson and Wade Erickson.

    May your memories bring you peace. I will fondly remember Don’s love of life, chocolate and game shows. He would always share some chocolate and a t.v. show when we would visit from Colorado. God Bless.
