Donald Edward Bursch, age 77, of rural Buffalo passed away on Wednesday, August 13th, 2014 at The Lakeside Oasis of Lake Ridge Care Facility in Buffalo.
He was born on April 27, 1937 in Greenwood Township, Hennepin County the son of Lawrence & Gladys (Zierman) Bursch.
Donald honorably served his Country in The United States Army in April of 1957 for six months. He then entered the Reserves and was discharged in 1963.
Don along with his brother owned and operated Bursch Brothers, Inc. for many years.
On November 14, 1964, Donald E. Bursch and Bernice Holthaus were joined in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. God blessed their marriage with three sons.
He enjoyed going to Arizona, playing cards, going to the casino, coffee at J’s, mowing his lawn and restoring tractors.
Survived by loving wife of 49 years: Bernice Bursch; sons: Kevin (Lisa) Bursch, Brian (Peggy) Bursch and Terry (Stacy) Bursch all of Buffalo; grandchildren: Rachel & Jessica; Blain, Clay, Dalton and Haden; Cali and Gabe; brothers: Alvin (Gayle) Bursch and Marvin (Delyte) Bursch all of Greenfield and Harvey (Sharon) Bursch of Fairbault; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Gladys Bursch and by a sister-in-law: Judy Bursch.
Funeral Services for Donald Bursch will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Chatham Township, Wright County.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th from 4-8 P.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Further visitation will be held on Saturday morning, August 16th one hour prior to services.
Casket Bearers will be Larry Bursch, Joe Holthaus, Mark Holthaus, Steve Holthaus, Tom Bursch and Dave Henson.
