Donald Arthur Lenz, age 62, of Ham Lake passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at his residence.

He was born on September 13, 1947 in Watertown the son of Arthur A. & Gertrude V. Bodin Lenz.

Donald was baptized on October 5, 1947 by Pastor M. J. Lenz at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Delano. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on June 4, 1961 by Pastor M. J. Lenz at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.

Don graduated from Delano High School in 1965.
He served in The Army Reserves.

Don owned & operated Lenz Trucking.

Survived by sons: Jason and Jeremy Lenz; four grandchildren: Jacob & Justin and MacKenzie & Madelynn; his loving mother: Gertrude V. “Gert” Lenz of Delano; sisters: Evon (Jerry) Blowers of Montrose, Elaine Farniok of Delano, Diane (Gary) Benson of Montrose and by a brother: Daryl (Bonnie) Lenz of Andover; an aunt: June Bodin of Waverly; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father: “Art” Lenz, an infant brother and by brother-in-law: Donald Farniok.

Funeral services for Don Lenz will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, October 21st at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Pastor Paul H. Marggraf will officiate and Interment will follow at Mount Olive-East Cemetery in Delano. Congregational hymns will be “Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me” and “How Great Thou Art”.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st beginning at 10:30 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Casket Bearers are Mike Brandenburg, Dick Goodale, Jim Meyer, John Olson, John Anderson and Craig Elsner.
