Diane Carol Berglund, age 74, of rural Buffalo passed away on Friday, January 8th, 2021.
She was born on March 19, 1946, in Buffalo the daughter of Charles and Phyllis (Henson) Schendel.
On April 16, 1966, Diane Schendel and Glen Berglund were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with two daughters.
Diane formerly worked many years as a bookkeeper at The Ben Franklin Store in downtown Buffalo. She later worked at Cox Chiropractic Clinic, then Buffalo Family Chiropractic Clinic, before going to Oakley National Bank.
She belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Diane enjoyed taking bus trips to the casino with friends, horse shoe tournaments with Glen, playing cards with friends, havening their annual Christmas party and any get together with friends.
She is survived by loving husband of almost fifty-five years: Glen A. “Sonny” Berglund; daughters: Tammie (John) Dehler of Becker and Kim (Randy) Michaels of Buffalo; seven grandchildren: Jacob, Audrianna, Gabrielle, Joshua, Devon, Brett and Erika; six great grandchildren: Cooper, Oliver, Braeden, Mason, Liam and Brandtley; two sisters: Cheri (Tom) Cebulla of Talmoon and Susie (Bill) Jordan of Buffalo; a brother: Greg (Gegi) Schendel of Elk River; other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Phyllis Schendel.
Funeral services for Diane Berglund will be held on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pastor Dave Hoadley will officiate.
Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13th from 6:30 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Further visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14th beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of services AT THE CHURCH
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Audrianna and Gabrielle Campbell and Erika Michaels.
Casket Bearers will be Jacob Campbell, Brett Michaels, Greg Schendel, Curt Capes, Dan Capes and Bob Capes.

We traveled together for over thirty years to horseshoe tournaments all across the USA in addition to local and state tourneys. They both were Active members of the Rockford Ringers Horseshoe Club as even though she didn’t pitch Diane would always be helping out wherever she could during our tourneys and banquets over the years.

We will miss the wonderful person she was and all the traditional “neighborhood” Christmas parties she and Glen put on for neighbors that typically, never get the chance to visit with each other. It made our Christmas season feel more complete. Also miss the evenings of “Farkle”
