Diana Lanette Engler, age 77 of Buffalo, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 17th, 2019 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
Funeral Service Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church (302 2nd St NE) in Buffalo, MN with Pastor Ryan Clark officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior at the Church. The Family invites you to stay for lunch following the service.
Diana was born on Wednesday, November 12th, 1941 in Shakopee, MN, the daughter of Clarence & Naomi (Laabs) Engler. The eldest child of 7, she was baptized on December 7th, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chaska, MN. She was confirmed in the faith on April 22nd, 1956 also at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Diana graduated from Chaska High School in Chaska, MN, class of 1959. She became a mother in 1965 with the birth of her daughter, Ronda and son, Michael shortly after in 1966. She briefly lived in Manitou Springs, CO from 1985-1987, returning home to MN and the joys of becoming a Grandmother. She began her retirement where she lived from 2001 to 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ where she had a lot of fun. She moved back home to Buffalo, MN in the fall of 2006 and happily became a great grandmother in July of 2012. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to church and spending time with dear friends and family.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Naomi Engler, Uncle Manthey & Aunt Arlene Laabs, and brother DuWayne Engler.
Diana is survived by her loving family; daughter Ronda Roth (Mark Wolf) of Otsego, MN, granddaughter Danielle (Joseph) Hance of Hanover, MN, great-granddaughter Arya J. Hance, son Michael (Lynette) Grabow of Coon Rapids, MN, sister Debra (Kenneth Sr) Buesgens, brothers Doug (Cindy), David, Daniel, and Dean (Sue) Engler, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary Casket Bearers: Scott Buesgens, Kenneth Buesgens Jr, Danielle Hance, Erik Sorenson, Jim Noss, John Kuerschner.
The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo served the family.
I will miss Diana and our visits. We enjoyed several ALPHA studies and retreats. Her faith was something she lived in all did and with those she loved. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are in the arms of your precious Savior.
I know your in Heaven with no pain anymore my friend, you will be missed.
Grammie, I loved you then, I love you still. I always have, I always will.

Grammie, it has been a long, hard year without you. I am learning how to be at peace in your absence. My heart aches with pangs of grief but I know, it is just life reminding me how much I love you.
