Dennis Wayne Lincoln, age 66 of Howard Lake. Dennis was born April 7, 1950 to Orville and Mary Lincoln in Adams, Massachusetts.

He attended McCann High School and graduated in 1969. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was active duty in Germany and Vietnam. Upon his return to the U.S.; he moved to Buffalo, Minnesota where he married Sandra Maye Westman on October 19, 1974. That union blessed them with four children. He transferred to the 353rd Transportation Company Army Reserves in Buffalo, Minnesota. He retired after proudly serving 21 years. His working days included head custodian with Rockford Schools, asbestos removal, and finished with Rhino Plastics as a machine operator.

Dennis celebrated his retirement in many ways: golfing, fishing with his grandson Dominic, watching T.V. and spending time with family and friends. He embraced life everyday; after 2 years of fighting his last battle with leukemia and cancer, he went in peace with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Rochester, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; father and mother-in-law; brother-in-law; and daughter-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi; daughter, Cindy (boyfriend, Bobby); son, David (girlfriend, Crystal) and (ex-daughter-in-law, Karen); son, Daniel (wife, Stacy); daughter, Denise (husband, Kent). As well as grandchildren, Amanda, Austin, Alexandra, Alec, Damian, Connor, Rashad, Xander, Mackenzie, Zachary, Dominic and Christopher; great-granddaughter, Alanna; siblings, Mary, Ted, Bobby, Todd and Billy; and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was a good man. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. We met at RDO.

I am going to miss our phone conversations even though there were short because Dennis was much of a talker. He was a quiet man and didn’t mince words and told it like it was. He was my younger brother and I am so glad that we had some time together before his passing. He never complained and was strong willed to survive, but finally was tired of fighting his disease. I know he is in a better place and at peace. I loved him deeply.
