Visitation Information
Dennis Andrew Kieser age 58, of Montrose died Friday, June 6th at his residence.
He was born March 27th 1950 in Cokato, Minnesota the son of Clemens and Delores Habisch Kieser. He was baptized and received his first communion at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. Dennis was employed at Washington Scientific for approximately fifteen years on the 3rd shift as a janitor. He was blessed with a daughter Angie and grandchildren: Nathan, Connor and Brandon. On September 10th 1993, Dennis was united in marriage to Janet Kuschel. They made their home in Buffalo and then Howard Lake the last couple years they were together. After Janet journeyed to the Spirit World, he moved in with his mom and took very good care of her while she was at home. When she transitioned to Elim Homes he would visit her on a regular basis. Dennis was also very close to his nephews Cory and Curt as they spent a lot of time together. He oftened talked about his good friend Dave McManus whom he also spent quality time with. He was a dedicated 3rd shifter as he kept those hours over the years. For some time he had a serious movie collection and loved horror movies the most. So it did com in quite handy that his little sister owned and operated a Video Store. You might say he had a small job stopping into the video store and keeping Anna on her toes as she was able to return the favor. Another thing that was very special to Dennis was his car that he inherited from his late father. He kept it very clean and fixing it up. Some of his favorite things to do was shoot pool, play cards and watch sporting events on t.v. Dennis was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Dennis loved being outdoors and would go for walks or do yard work. And from time to time he enjoyed playing the scratch off lottery and I can remember his saying with a big grin “You can’t win if you don’t play!” He definitely liked to talk and visit. Some of our family think that is inherited. Dennis was a carefree and simple guy. He enjoyed his life to the fullest and we all are going to miss that happy go lucky attitude!
Survived by mother: Delores Kieser of Watertown; sisters: Jeanette (Jim) Lachermeier of St. Cloud, Renee (James) Lauzer of Howard Lake and Anna Wahl of Montrose; six nieces and nephews; three aunts and an uncle.
