Delilah M. Swanson age 75, of Delano passed away January 10 2012 at The Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born March 18, 1936 in Buffalo, MN to Edward & Lydia Rux Rentz.
On February 11, 1956, Delilah M. Rentz and Robert A. Swanson were joined in holy marriage at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo by Pastor Berwald. God blessed their marriage with three children.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert A. Swanson of fifty five years; children, Vicki Swanson of Delano, David Swanson of Waverly & special friend Dawn Johnson and Robin (Joe) Menard of Delano; grandchildren, Christina(Shrial) Baksh, Matthew (Jillayne) Menard, Jeremy Swanson and Joshua Menard, great-grandchildren Morgan and Megan Hesse, Jaiden Baksh, Connor and Caylee Menard, Mason & Hunter Swanson. Sister, Shirley Scott of Phoenix ,AZ, special nieces Ginger Bailey and Jackie Swanson, brothers and sisters in-law, Bill & Shirley Mechels, Don and Carol Johnson, Rod and Carol Swanson and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceeded in death by parents, stepfather Oscar Peterson, sisters Evelyn, Beverly and Goldie, brothers Cyrus, Myron and Jack, sisters’ in-law Mildred, Elaine and Delores Rentz.
Funeral services for Delilah Swanson will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 1:00 P.M. at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rockford. Pastor Michael Barlow will officiate.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14th at the church from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M.

Casket Bearers will be Joshua Menard, Matthew Menard, Jeremy Swanson, Christina Baksh, Shrial Baksh and Michael Daniels.

    My deepest sympathy to the Swanson family! I have such fond memories of Delilah and her smile! I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are being sent your way. She was truly a special lady and the world was blessed having her in it. Hugs & love to you all !

    Bobby and family,
    Delilah was such an amazing woman. I think of many words to describe her – mother,friend, hardworker,
    Christian, caring for all uncondionally and that is just a very few. I can only imagine the card game that must be going on in Heaven now!
