Debora Ann Olson, age 57 of Buffalo, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Debora was born May 7, 1958 in Moorhead, Minnesota, the daughter of Clayton Duane and Darlene Mae (Stroschein) Moen.
Debi was a 1976 graduate of Washburn High School in Minneapolis and become a cosmetologist following high school. She later co-founded American Concrete in 1986 with her husband, Miles.
On June 16, 1979 Debora Ann Moen married her high school sweetheart, Miles Kermit Olson at Messiah Lutheran Church in Minneapolis by Pastor Radditz. The two were blessed with three children.
The family moved to Buffalo in 1992 where she raised her children and became a 4-H leader in Wright County; was a volunteer for the school, church, and food shelf, and she played on Monday night bowling leagues. She loved horses, gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, traveling, cooking, and time spent with her family.
Preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Clayton Moen; sister, Carmen Orman; brother, Clayton Moen Jr. “Skip”; and her dogs, Duke and Gunnar.
She is survived by her husband, Miles Olson; children, Brianna (Mike) Meyer, Nicole (Kale) Williams, Andrew (Amorrae) Olson; granddaughters, Layla Hartell, Arilynn Olson, Alivia Olson, Evelin Williams, Aubree Meyer; mother, Darlene Moen; brother, Dean (Jenny) Moen; sister-in-law, Debra Moen Schepers; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 12th from 5 to 8 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. Further visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour prior to services at church. Funeral services for Debora Ann Olson will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover, officiating will be Pastor Gorden Estenson.
Casket bearers are Kale Williams, Michael Meyer, Michael Stroschein, Steven Stroschein, Michael Moen and Austen Warner.
Honorary casket bearers are Debi’s granddaughters, Layla Hartell, Arilynn Olson, Alivia Olson, Evelin Williams, and Aubree Meyer.
Memorials preferred to the family to be given to an organization later.
