Visitation Information

Deana M. Eisler, age 34 of Shakopee and formerly of Buffalo, passed away on August 10, 2008 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, located at 1200 S. Hwy 25, with a visitation half an hour before the funeral.

Memorials are preferred to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure at 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250 Dallas, TX 75244.

Deana Marie was born on April 23, 1974 in St. Louis Park to Thomas and Roxanne (nee Lingen) Eisler. A Class of ’92 graduate of Buffalo High School, Deana studied at Concordia College at Moorhead, graduating in 1997 with a Major in Mathematics and Minor in Business. She worked as an auditor for Williams & Associates in Bloomington for the last ten years. While living in Buffalo, Deana was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was confirmed in 1989. She loved children and thoroughly enjoyed babysitting for her friends. She loved animals and held a membership to the Minnesota Zoo, which she frequented. Deana enjoyed reading, baseball (especially the Twins), and puzzles (both crossword and jigsaw) and enjoyed the challenge of assembling anything which required it. She also loved the outdoors, especially the lake.

Deana Eisler is survived by her mother, Roxanne “Roxy” Lingen of Shakopee; father, Thomas “Tom” Eisler of Nisswa; brothers: Lee Eisler of Shakopee, and Kevin Eisler of Minnetonka; sister, Amy Eisler of St. Louis, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Eisler family during this time. I was friends with Deana throughout high school and we enjoyed many good times together. My only regret is that we didn’t keep in touch after high school as our lives led us separate ways. I will always have fond memories of Deana and the fun we had in high school. Unfortunately the saying is true…the good DO die young.

My prayers and thoughts are with you. I worked with Deana at Williams for the past 10 years, until moving to New York. She did the account I used to work on so I got to see her each and every day back then. She was a wonderful person and will be missed, but not forgotten. She was always up beat, even facing her greatest trial. I wish I could be there in person today, but I will be there in prayer. Please be happy in knowing that even though her time was cut short, she was wonderful and touched the hearts of many.

I know this is very late in coming…as it has been almost 19 long months since my sister passed…but I wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you whom have written here-it warms my heart to read of the love people had for Deana and our family. Thank you.
    Love and hugs,
