David “Dave” Leonard Nygren
Of St. Michael, passed away quietly in his home on May 17, 2015 at the age of 77. Dave was born on September 24, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Olive (Rogers) Nygren. He graduated from South High School in 1955. On November 24, 1956, David Nygren married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Ogdahl. He owned and operated his hearing aid business “Master Plan Hearing Aid Center” from 1970 to 1992. Prior to moving to St. Michael in 2013, Dave and his family lived for 47 years on Berkshire Lane North in Plymouth, MN.
Dave is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Nygren (Ogdahl), and was very proud of his 4 children, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Mc Collar (Mike) and dog, Tootsie.
Dave adored his time spent with his 11 year old Shih tzu, Tootsie. Tootsie will now be living with his neighbor, Edna, who has generously helped take care of her for the last few months when Dave no longer could. Tootsie will, however, spend vacations and holidays at the home of Jenny and Abby.
Dave is predeceased by his parents, John Harold Nygren and Olive Rogers Nygren; and siblings, Donald Nygren and Dorothy Bertas (Chuck).
Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. with a visitation starting at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 11024 Church St. NE, Hanover, MN. A light meal will follow the service at church. Officiating will be Pastor Gorden Estenson.
Dave’s ashes will be scattered by the family at the family cabin “Camp Twig” in Remer, MN at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are being made with The Peterson Chapel Funeral Home, St. Michael-Albertville. 763-497-5362.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
