David D. Dupont, Jr., age 76 of Elk River, passed away 5/20/18.
Preceded in death by his parents, Rose (Rancour) & David Dupont Sr.; sister, Vi Reinert; brothers Emil, Henry and Adrian.
David is survived by his children, Holly (Craig) Dapper, Kim (Joe) Young, Dan (Laura) Dupont-Jarrett, Melissa (Jim) Brings and Doug (Theresa) Dupont; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Bernard Dupont; former spouse Nancy Dupont; and many other relatives and friends.
David was an avid fisherman, card player and musician who shared that love with his friends & family. Throughout his life, David worked hard at farming, being a press operator at Tonka Toys and as a small business owner of the Cine- Buff Drive In Movie Theater. He married Nancy Jean Pouliot on September 14, 1963 in Hamel, MN and together they were blessed with five children. In 1978, David was severely injured on the job at Tonka Toys, which led to an early retirement. In recent years David focused on his passion of being a musician, which included singing & playing the guitar.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 5/24/18, at 5 PM with visitation beginning at 2 PM at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo MN.
