Darrel “Tubby” Rohwer, age 65, of Buffalo passed away on Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at The U of M Hospital Fairview.
He was born on August 1, 1948 in Watertown the son of Ernest & Laverna (Dalke) Rohwer.
Darrel graduated from Watertown High School in 1966, active in baseball and football.
On February 2, 1980, Darrel and Sarah (Appel) were joined in marriage at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Watertown, MN. God blessed their marriage with two children; Beth and Andrew.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Sysco Foods for 36 years and was a member of Teamster Local Union # 544.
Darrel enjoyed motorcycling, classic cars, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Survived by his loving wife: Sarah Rohwer; a daughter: Beth (Tom) Miller of Monticello and by a son: Andrew Rohwer of Buffalo; grandchildren: Eve & Ella Miller; his mother: Laverna Rohwer of Waconia; a brother: Dale (Loretta) Rohwer of Plymouth and by a sister: Janice (Arnie) Jacobson of Young America; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his father: Ernest Rohwer.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
