Dale Robert Boehne, age 90 of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away April 21, 2023.

He was born on March 25, 1933 in Bertha, Minnesota, to Harry and Nita (Bluhm) Boehne. Dale was a graduate of Parkers Prairie High School, where he met his future wife, Maxine Lokken. The high school sweethearts were joined in marriage on March 15th, 1952 in Benton Harbor, MI.

Dale enlisted to serve his country in the United States Navy. He then attended school to become an electrical engineer, which led him to relocate to several different cities and states for job opportunities. They moved to Minnesota in 1964, residing in Waconia, Maple Grove and, most recently, Buffalo. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired from Timesavers in 1997.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling in his younger years. After retirement, he traveled with Maxine, and enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; parents, Harry and Nita; and siblings, Donovan, Norman, Rolland, Dorine, Glenice, and Billy.

Dale is survived by his children, Mike (DeeAnn) Boehne, David (Julie) Boehne, John (Beverly) Boehne, and Susan Randall; grandchildren, Chad Boehne, Christopher Boehne, Travis Boehne, Joshua (Miranda) Boehne, Jeremy Boehne, Alissa (Jake) Struble, Amanda (Joe) Riemenschneider, Sarah (Jeremy) Schmitz, Jason Lahr, and Jennifer Randall; 7 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sister, Marilyn Ranta; and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Buffalo Hospital’s Specialty Care Unit for their excellent care and compassion, as well as the staff at both Park Terrace Assisted Living and Park View Care Center for their attentiveness and care.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:30 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN (119 Central Ave). A private interment at Fort Snelling will be held at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be held after the service from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the Buffalo American Legion, 304 10th Avenue South, Buffalo, MN.
