Dale J. Durant, age 75, of Rogers, MN, formerly of Buffalo, MN passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2010, at his residence.

Dale was born on January 28, 1935, the son of Edward and Frances (Grant) Durant in Princeton, MN.

Dale was united in marriage to Noreen Heinen on April 30, 1953, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Rogers, MN. They began their life in Rogers moving to Buffalo and recently moved back to Rogers.

Dale co-owned and operated Heinen Mercantile for forty plus years. He was a retired member of Rogers Fire Department following 36 years of service. He served on the Rogers City Council, the Rogers Planning Commission and was a St. Martin’s Trustee. He is loved and respected by his family, who will miss Dale dearly.

Dale is survived by his loving family: wife, Noreen, children, Mary Jo (Randy) Lange of Blackduck, MN, Danny (Janet) Durant of Rogers, MN, son-in-law, Ted VonBank of Rogers, MN, grandchildren, Dana (Steve) Riggs, Vicki (Keith Classen) Durant, Andrew Durant, Nathan (Jen) Correll, Noah (Mindy) Correll, Brian VonBank and Jamie VonBank, great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Zach, Vinnie, Bryan, Tyler, Arianna, Kayden, Peyton, Paige, Chase and Dane, siblings, Yvonne (LeRoy) Bach of Dayton, MN, Mary (Darrell) Bobendrier of Albertville, MN, sisters-in-law, Verla Durant of St. Michael, MN, and Lucy Durant of Dayton, MN, brother-in-law, Merle Heinen of Monticello, MN.

Preceded in death by: daughter LeeAnn VonBank, parents, Ed and Frances Durant, siblings, Phyllis (Leon) Dahlheimer, Earl Durant, Ed (Jeanne) Durant, Denny Durant, Francie Bartlett, Florian Heinen.

Casket Bearers are (grandchildren) Andrew Durant, Vicki Durant, Dana Riggs, Nathan Correll, Noah Correll, Brian VonBank, Jamie VonBank, Steve Riggs, Keith Classen.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Peyton and Paige Riggs, Chase and Dane Classen, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Zach and Vinnie Correll, Bryan, Tyler and Kayden Correll, Arianna Couillard.

Mass of Christian Burial held Monday,June 28, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Rogers, MN. Visitation held Sunday at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville from 4-8 P.M.

Private family interment held at a later date at St. Walburga’s Catholic Cemetery in Fletcher, MN.
