Dale William Enwiller, age 78, of Rural Delano died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia, MN.
He was born in Rosholt, SD on October 14, 1932 to William A. and Mabel J. (Lewis) Enwiller.
Dale was baptized on February 6, 1934 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sisseton, SD. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and Confirmed in the Christian Faith on July 17, 1946 at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt, SD.
He graduated from Rosholt High School in 1950. He graduated in 1952 from Northern States Teacher’s College in Pierre, SD. He taught at rural schools: Harmon School in Rosholt and later in Oldham, SD. He joined the Army in 1953 and honorably served his country during the Korean War. Dale was discharged from the Army Reserves in 1961. Following his military service, he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and pursued Mechanical Drafting.
Dale was joined in holy marriage to Jane R. Birkholz on December 9, 1967 in Sisseton.
He was employed as a Drafting Engineer at Manmouth Industries from 1965-1971, and later,at TL Systems. He retired from TL Systems in 1995 after 22 years of service.
Dale also farmed for many years. He purchased an eighty acre farm in Franklin Township in Wright County in 1963.
He was a faithful and a founding member of Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano.
Survived by wife Jane and daughters: Angela (Tony) Olson of Monticello, Darla Rath of Rockford, Tara Enwiller of Chandler, AZ, Lea (Paul) Fieldseth of Ramsey; step-daughter: Barbara (Marvin) Herbst, of Montrose; grandchildren: Michael, Justin, Katie, William, Lauryn and Lacey; sisters: Joanne Randall of British Columbia and Sharlotte (Robert) Kline of Idaho, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends and including his little dog “Rosie.”
Preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Arlene Henke and Marlys Wes, and grandchild Courtney Rath.
Funeral services for Dale Enwiller will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00 AM at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano. Pastor Lee Hallstrom will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25th at Light of Christ Lutheran Church from 4-8 PM.
Further visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt, SD one hour prior to services. A prayer service will be held at Bethania Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Nancy Quatier officiating. Interment follows at Hillside Cemetery in Rosholt.
Casket Bears will be Tony Olson, Paul Fieldseth, Justin Rath, William Olson, Ronnie Henke and Ron Naylor.
