Visitation Information

Clifford J. Elsenpeter, age 81, of rural Buffalo died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at The Buffalo Hospital.

He was born on August 16, 1926 in Buffalo the son of Vernon & Gladys Provo Elsenpeter.

Clifford honorably served his Country in The United States Military in Korea.

On April 28, 1962, Clifford Elsenpeter and Catherine Barthel were joined in holy marriage at St. Albert™s Catholic Church in Albertville. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Mr. & Mrs. Elsenpeter engaged in dairy farming in Maple Lake Township.

He was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Clifford was a member of American Legion Post # 270 in Buffalo and formerly belonged to Maple Lake V.F.W. Post # 7664.

Survived by loving wife, Catherine G. Elsenpeter; children, Jim (Pat) Elsenpeter of Buffalo, Sue (Karl) Kiphuth of Hanover, Joe (Jennie) Elsenpeter and George Elsenpeter all of Buffalo; a daughter-in-law, Janice Elsenpeter of Annandale; ten grandchildren: Jackie Booth, Kayla & Shannon Elsenpeter, Angela & Steven Kiphuth, Jake & Jay Elsenpeter, Lori, Ryan and Tayler Elsenpeter; a sister: Lois Liefert of Buffalo; a sister-in-law: Katherine Elsenpeter of Maple Lake; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; many nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by a son, John Elsenpeter, his parents, two brothers: Donald & Gordon Elsenpeter, a sister-in-law: Jeanette Elsenpeter and by a brother-in-law: Arnold Liefert.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clifford Elsenpeter was held on Tuesday, March 11th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Interment followed at St. Timothy™s Cemetery in Maple Lake.

A visitation was held on Monday, March 10th from 4-8 PM. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service was held at 7:30 P.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers were Jerry Elsenpeter and Dave Liefert.

Casket Bearers were Danny, Rick, Mike, Kenny and Jake Elsenpeter and Steve Kiphuth.
