God blessed Wilferd and Diann Strehler with a little blue-eyed girl, Nov. 17, 1961, at Buffalo hospital. Clarice was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church. She and Daryl Schleif were married Feb. 1978 and later divorced in 1995. She cherished their son, Nathan, and was a devoted mom. She lived much of the last half of her life with her loving friend, Jeff Harff, who was a great companion. She passed away Wed., Feb. 3, 2016, at age 54 at St. Cloud hospital due to septic shock (blood poisoning).
Clarice’s life was short but was filled with the gift of love to others in many ways. She adored her grandsons and enjoyed babysitting them and her nephew, Riley. Her thoughtfulness blessed so many friends and family. Surprise treats and gifts were not out of the norm. She was a giver. Her kind heart was evidenced by her commitment to her helping family and friends. Clarice worked on her parent’s farm most of her life, and her passion for cows was clear to those who knew her best. We are shocked and deeply saddened by her exit from this life far sooner than we would have liked.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
Clarice leaves to cherish her loving memory: her son Nathan (Heather); grandsons Austin and Braden; significant other Jeff Harff; parents Wilferd and Diann Strehler; siblings Lowell (Judy), Craig (Teri), and Beth Strehler; nephews and nieces Riley Strehler, Jodi (Kevin) Boecker, Traci (Rick) Peterson, Kelli (Rob) Schumacher; grandsons’ mother Angie Vetsch; and many special friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clarence (whom she’s named after) and Alta Vergin, Elmer and Edna Strehler.
Wilfred and Diane; I am truly sorry for your loss. She was way too young, but our Lord knows best. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I’m sorry I won’t be able to be there with you at this most difficult time. Edie Wagner
