Cindy was born on November 10, 1968 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm, graduated from Belgrade High School and Mankato State University.  On October 18, 1997, Cindy Haider and Steve Peterson were joined in holy marriage at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, Minnesota.  God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Cindy was employed for more than 25 years as a mortgage underwriter at Norwest/Wells Fargo.

She was a faithful member of The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, Minnesota.

Cindy loved and cherished her family!  Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and aunt. She especially loved holidays, traditions, and special occasions; going above and beyond to make them festive and memorable.

She loved watching her boys in their activities, annual anniversary trips, family vacations, snuggling with her dog Archie, spending weekends at Lake Ida, cooking or sharing a new recipe, girls getaway weekend trips, and outings with friends.  Her vibrant energy was infectious!  If you knew Cindy, you understood how special she was.  If she knew you, then you were one of her people. Cindy loved making moments and memories special for her people.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 25 years: Steve; three sons: Connor, Garrett and Emmitt; her parents: Vincent and Donna (Terwey) Haider; siblings: Keith (Joyce) Haider, Ken (Stacey) Haider, Cheryl (Pat) Fischer and Gregg (Karla) Haider; father-in-law: John (Janet) Peterson; brother-in-law: Scott (Mara) Peterson; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Pamela Peterson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Cindy’s name to the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA).
