Celebrating the life of Christopher Charles Sand

Christopher Charles Sand, 42 of Maple Grove, MN passed on November 23, 2017 in his home of Cannon Falls, MN.

Christopher was born on August 19th, 1975 to Charles and Charleen Sand.

Chris was baptized and confirmed in House of Hope Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN.

Chris graduated from Osseo High School in 1993, and attended North Hennepin Jr. College and New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology to earn a degree in Mathematics.

Christopher also started Tatonka Pyramid Builders; a construction company and operated it for many years.

Christopher enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, survival training, plant recognition and bonfires. He also enjoyed working on his Kung Fu and acrobatic skills. Chris was also blessed with a wonderful artistic ability that we all enjoyed.

Chris is survived by his Parents; Chuck and Char Sand; Chris’ wife Rita and her children Alythia and Jacob Scully, and their daughter Sage and also Janessa Carter and their son Orion; his younger brother Colin, his wife Allyson, and their two children Madalyn & Breckon.

Christopher is preceded in death by his grandparents; Donald and Dotty Sand, Elizabeth “Peg” and Harold Hansen, along with his Uncle Harry Hansen, and Aunt Ruth Goetz.

Visitation Services are held at Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN on Thursday November 30th from 4:00-8:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service.

The funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover, MN on Friday, December 1st at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow.

A family Internment burial will be conducted at the Opdal Cemetery in Florence, MN at 11 AM on Saturday, December 2nd.

Urn Bearer will be Sage Sand.
