Charles R. Jensen
Born September 15, 1937 Exira, Iowa, son of Jens “Jim” and Lazeta (Struthers) Jensen in Exira, Iowa. Passed away on October 29, 2015 at Lake Ridge Care center, Buffalo, MN.
Charlie graduated from Exira High School in 1956. After graduation he attended Midland Linotype School in Charles City, Iowa graduating in 1957. After which, he then moved to Buffalo, MN where he worked at the Wright County Journal Press for 40 years.
Charlie loved hunting and fishing and his land in northern Minnesota. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his sisters, Wanda (Ted) Wiemann of Sioux City, IA and Christy (John) Petersen of Janesville, WI; his nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; as well as many loyal friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lazeta Jensen; a brother, Donald LeRoy at birth; and brother, Gordon Jensen in 2014.
Internment will be at Exira Cemetery, Exira, Iowa at a later date.
We would like to thank all of his friends and caregivers for their love and support.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.

I worked with Charlie for many years at the JP. He was a great friend! Will miss you Charlie, so glad I stopped to see you a couple of weeks ago.
So sorry to see of Charlie’s passing. He was a great friend the past 50 plus years. One of the first people we got to know after moving to Buffalo.
