Patrick Duffy, also known as “PK” to many, was born Dec 7, 1944 and grew up in the neighborhood of Folwell Park. He graduated from Patrick Henry 1962 and went on to the US Navy after graduation.

“PK” served as a Machinist Mate 3 on the USS Perry until 1966, then moved back to Minnesota and worked at Control Data until he retired in 2006.

“PK” loved the outdoors and enjoyed being at the Cabin, Golf, Walleye Fishing, but mostly enjoyed Pheasant and Deer Hunting to spend time with friends and being out in the woods. He also loved his several dogs he had over the years Blackie, Banjo, Duchess, Lady, Barron, Curley & Satchmo.

After retirement “PK” still enjoyed his outdoor time until diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2010 and was moved to the Wellstead of Rogers for assisted care living in 2016. Where he resided until his passing on April 28th 2020.

Our father enjoyed helping others, whether they were re-siding a house, needing a new roof or building a deck he loved working with his hands. If you needed advice or a hand with anything he would be there. That was “PK”!

I have to believe that having Alzheimer’s, is like being lost in the woods and every day you are taking a step in the wrong direction taking you deeper into the forest until there is no way to find your way back home. Know that PK is no longer lost!

Rest in peace Dad!
