Carroll Lloyd (Andy) Anderson, 82, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
He was born on December 4, 1935 in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of Carroll and Alice Stavig Anderson.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from December 5, 1955 to December 4, 1959. Following his Active Duty he remained in the Air Force Reserve until his honorable discharge on December 4, 1961.
On April 25, 1963 Carroll (Andy) and Cheryl Caouette were joined in holy marriage in Sisseton, South Dakota. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Andy’s passion for motorsports led him into a career path that included working for a snowmobile manufacturer, managing dealerships, racing snowmobiles, and ultimately owning and operating The Sled Shed for thirteen years, with his wife, Cheryl, in Iron River, Wisconsin. Andy was well liked and many of his customers quickly became meaningful friends. After retiring, his enthusiasm for motorsports continued. Andy maintained several relationships with industry insiders.
After the untimely passing of his wife Cheryl, Andy started to travel. North Carolina was a destination of choice, where he was able to reestablish a relationship with his son, Gary, and Gary’s mother, Virgie Davis. Over the past thirteen years, Andy and Virgie developed a special companionship, relying on each other for friendship, love, and support.
Andy considered Wisconsin his home, spending time there and in Minnesota with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was proud of his family and cherished their time together.
Survived by his children, James (Jodi) Anderson of Milaca, Minnesota, Lisa Anderson of Plymouth, Minnesota, Pete (Dixie) Anderson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; special companion, Virgie Davis of Fremont, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Amy Anderson of Kenly, North Carolina; grandchildren, Cassandra, Karissa, Joshua, and Brandon Anderson, Theresa Nicka, Sheldon and Jerzie Wohlman, Brady and Avery Anderson; great-grandchildren, Lyle and Sofiyah Nicka.
