Caroline M Lucht died peacefully at Lutheran Hospital on Jan. 25, 2018 in Des Moines Iowa at the age of 87.
Caroline was born May 5, 1930 in Corcoran MN to Henry and Anna Stieg Lucht. She graduated valedictorian from Osseo High School in 1948. Upon graduation she entered the work force as a bookkeeper and worked for various employers in Osseo and Plymouth.
Caroline enjoyed traveling with family and friends along with bowling and playing cards. St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed, was an important part of her life. She regularly attended service and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Caroline will be missed by many; none more than Irma Schmid who teasingly referred to Caroline as her “Older Twin Sister”. The twin sisters last got together last May on Caroline’s birthday. Seeing the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes said it all. The bond Caroline and Irma shared was more than cousins, they were soul mates.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Anna, sisters Loraine Wagner, infant sister Elinore, Mabel Peters and brothers Herbert, Otto and Roland. Caroline is survived by five nieces and nephews, Wanda Bredice, Karen Lucht, Carla Bebeau, Paul Lucht, Ann Hason-Holt, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, 1/28/18 at 2 PM with visitation beginning at 12:30 PM, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church: 9141 County Rd 101, Corcoran MN.
