Carole Lyn Barthel, age 58, of St. Michael passed away on on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on February 28th, 1958 in Minneapolis the daughter of Frank and LaVahn (Nordberg) Whiteaker.
Carole was employed for many years in customer service for several Insurance Companies. She also met many people who she became very good friends while working at the Hill Top in Hanover.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, hanging out with friends and family.
Survived by her loving husband: Gordon D. Barthel; four children: Tanya (Bob) Bursch, Tabitha (Tom) Ebert, Travis (Megan) Barthel and Trent Barthel; 15 grandchildren; siblings: Sharon Nordberg, Cindy (Chris) Paumen and Cathy (Gary) Roehl; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, a brother Craig (Becky) Whiteaker and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bernie and Irene Barthel.
A Memorial Service for Carole Barthel will be held on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. Pastor Leon Stier will officiate.
Private interment Hanover Village Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
Honorary Bearers will be Carole’s Grandsons: Kaleb Kmetz, Ethan Bursch, Zach Barthel-Weinand, Derek Bursch, Cassius Maros, Mathias Ebert and Bernie Barthel.
