Carol Nancy (Mattson) Arko, age 73, of Buffalo passed away, lovingly surrounded by family and friends on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Carol was born on January 10, 1939 at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis the daughter of Willard and Marjorie (Stevenson) Mattson. She graduated from Buffalo High School and then attended and graduated from The Minneapolis School of Business. Carol was blessed to have a son, Mark.
On April 6, 1973, Carol N. Mattson and Frank Arko were joined in marriage at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Frank was the father of four children.
She is survived by her son Mark E. (Robyn) Kindahl of Evergreen, CO, brother Neil R. Mattson of Cokato, MN, nieces Shannon Mattson and Melody Hoffman, nephews Sven Mattson and Luke (Danielle) Mattson, grandchildren Sheena (Shaun) Bledsoe and Travis (Hannah) Marx, great-grandchildren Ashlynn Bledsoe and Landon Marx, stepdaughters Sharon Heitz and Merna (John) Pekarna, stepsons Frank (Margaret) Arko and Kevin Arko, step-grandchildren Wendy Arko and Scott (Jessica) Arko, step-great-grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Hayden, Emma and Hunter, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Frank Arko and by her parents Willard and Marjorie Mattson.
Funeral services for Carol Arko were held on Tuesday, July 3rd at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo at 3:00 P.M. Pastor Ted Vanderpan officiated.
Casket Bearers were Rick Ramberg, Gary Stevenson, Craig Stevenson, Sven Mattson, Luke Mattson and Zachary Hoffman.
Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.
