It is with great sorrow and sadness the Martin family announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend, Carly Jean Martin, age 19. In her short life on earth, Carly was an award-winning aerialist, artist, a talented swimmer, and seamstress.
She loved all animals, including her two dogs, and was especially gifted at drawing them. She graduated from Perpich Arts High School. She was loved by the children she took care of at Caravel Autism Health and will be greatly missed by all her friends at Eureka, the Aviary and Stomping Grounds Aerial.
Carly was preceded in death by her grandpas, Eugene Osborne, Eugene Martin, and David Dale.
She is survived by her parents, Heather and Guy Martin; sister, Cassie; grandmothers, Patricia Osborne Baker, Judy Martin, and Sharon Martin; aunt, Carrie (Tom) Miller; and cousins, Melia and Hayden Ubl.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville (300 Main Street North). Visitation will begin two hours prior at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline and Underdog Rescue.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com
I met Carly at the Aviary. She was so brave to be teaching individuals twice her age something she loved so much (at least I was twice her age). She stepped into teaching adult classes like it was nothing. I’m gutted to learn of her death and wish there was something else of comfort to say.
Carly was such a sweet girl. We have known her since she was 5 years old. We remember when she used to come over and jump on our trampoline with us. We made a donation to Underdogs Rescue in her name. Carly will be missed. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Heather, Guy, and Cassie, I’ve been out sick since Thursday and didn’t want to spread this to you, your family or friends so I didn’t attend the funeral yesterday. Know that you are all in my thoughts and in my prayers and have my most sincere sympathy on the loss of Carlie.
