FURTHER VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT THE CHURCH ON WEDNESDAY MORNING ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICES.

Carl F. Kalk, age 76 of St. Michael, MN passed away at CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Monticello, MN on Jan. 3, 2014. Funeral services are on Wednesday, Jan 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9141 Cty Rd. 101, Maple Grove, MN. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-8 PM ALSO AT THE CHURCH. Interment is at St. John’s Cemetery, Maple Grove, MN.

Carl was born on February 13, 1937, to Charles & Emma (Lieder) Kalk in Corcoran, MN. He married Patricia Vollbrecht on August 29, 1959, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Carl worked at various jobs & for the last 20 years he was a sales representative selling forklifts & track mobiles. Because of his success in sales, he & Pat were able to travel to many countries. They also wintered in Arizona.

He enjoyed hunting & fishing & especially spending time with the grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
He was a longtime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church & the Planning Commissioner for the city of Corcoran. He also served on various church boards & was one of the founding members of the Hanover Athletic Association.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Emma, infant daughter, Linda, great-grandson, Oliver Thomas Aubart, sister & brother-in-law, Anita & Harold Faue, brothers-in-law, Levi Faue & Gerald Schleif.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia of St. Michael, MN; sons, Gerald (Joy) Kalk of Elk River, MN & Donald (Linda) Kalk of St. Michael, MN; grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Dahl, Amanda (Chris) Aubart, Laura Kalk, David Kalk & Kenneth Kalk; great-grandchildren, Eric & Sara Dahl & Henry Aubart; sister, Verdell Schleif of Osseo, MN; many nieces, nephews & friends.
