Burnadette L. Mutterer 89 of Buffalo, MN, passed away Wednesday, September 01, 2010, in Buffalo.
Burnadette Mutterer was born March 6, 1921, to Julius and Marie (Leeson) Weeks. She was baptized in the Presbyterian church and confirmed as an adult at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1939.
Burnadette was united in marriage to Donald Mutterer on January 31, 1949. The couple settled on the family farm in Frankfort Township, near Beebe Lake. Burnadette was very proud to be known as a farmer’s wife. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and then when the great grandchildren came the light became even brighter. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She also belonged to Home Extension and Ladies Auxiliary, where she was very proud of carrying the American flag in parades.
Burnadette is survived by her son Kent (Barbara) Mutterer of Buffalo, daughter Debra Mutterer of Minneapolis, four grandchildren; Stephanie, Jason, Jared and Michael, nine great-grandchildren; Hunter, Mara, Maci, Grace, Emma, Lilly, Broc, Faith and Mac. She is also survived by one sister Elizabeth Davis of Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Marie, husband Donald on December 26, 1982, two brothers, John Weeks and Robert Weeks, and four sisters Gloria Shaffer, Evelyn Pagel, Mary Demarais, and Anita Fritzgerald.
Funeral Services will be at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford on Monday September 6, 2010, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be Sunday 4pm to 8pm, also at Cross Lutheran Church in Rockford. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Monday.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Rockford, MN.
Casket bearers are Stephanie Mutterer, Jason Mutterer, Jared Mutterer, Michael Mutterer, Wally Schatzley, Aaron Forsythe, and Gary Conzet.
