Beverly Jean Holland, age 78, of Buffalo and formerly of Watertown passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 16, 1933 in Fontanelle, Iowa the daughter of Walter & Mabel (Pearson) Johnson.

Beverly was an avid reader, she also enjoyed birdwatching, flower gardens, cooking and dining at Red Lobster.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survived by her children: Harold (Ann) Holland, Jr., Juanita (Michael) Olson, Joanne (Dennis) Dicks, Susan Schiro, John (Deborah) Holland, Steven (Marla) Holland, Curtis (Diana) Holland, Timothy (Carol) Holland and Gail (Jay) VanKrevelen; twenty four grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a brother: Donald (Virginia) Johnson; a sister: Linda (Myron) Solberg; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband: Harold L. Holland, Sr., a son: Richard Holland, her parents: Walter and Mabel Johnson and by a son-in-law: Gary Schiro.

Funeral services for Beverly Holland will be held on Friday, November 4th at 1:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Pastor Paul Kling will

Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home and on Friday, November 4th from 12 Noon until the time
of services.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be grandsons: Bradley Ditsch, Joe Holland, Mike Theis, Shawn Davis, Josh Schiro, Adam Holland and Jared Holland.

Casket Bearers will be grandsons: Brian Ditsch, Ben Ditsch, Nick Olson, Matt Holland, Morgan Holland and Travis Holland

The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.

    We were all very sorry to hear about Bev’s passing. Hope it helps to know that others are thinking of you at this difficult time. She was a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to know her.
