Beverly Bonnie Tepley, age 84 of St. Michael, MN, passed away on December 29, 2023.

She was born on October 3, 1939, in Little Falls, MN, to David “Herman” and Grace (Martinson) Erlandson.

Beverly grew up on a farm outside of Upsala, MN. Bev and her future husband Gerald grew up as friends as their family farms were two miles apart. Their love story began in high school and they were married in 1958.

Despite the responsibilities of raising a family, Beverly pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse, returning to college, and graduating in 1978. She dedicated close to 30 years of her professional life to North Memorial Hospital and was gifted in the art of neonatal intensive care.  Bev’s compassion touched the lives of countless families. Her legacy as a devoted and skilled NICU nurse lives on in the many lives she impacted throughout her career.

Known as “Mom” not just to her own children but to a legion of nurses at North Memorial.  Her warm demeanor, infectious sense of humor, and willingness to go above and beyond endeared her to everyone she encountered.

Bev and Gerry raised their family of three daughters and a son in Crystal, MN until 1992 when they settled in St. Michael where eventually all their children moved to be closer to them. Bev had a green thumb and a love for flower gardening. Her lunches with girlfriends were cherished moments filled with laughter, camaraderie, and shared stories.

A true matriarch, Beverly prioritized family above all else, demonstrating an unparalleled devotion to her loved ones.  She was a devoted grandmother and found immense joy in this role, creating lasting memories with her grandchildren that will be treasured for generations to come.

Beverly is survived by her children, Marna Oas, Lisa (Ted) VanDusen, David (Shari) Tepley and Jennifer (Robert) Letellier; grandchildren, Ryan Oas, Rachel Oas, Julia (Mike Rogers) Collier, Grant Collier, Heather Tepley, Jessica Letellier and Charles Letellier; great grandchildren, Corey Kreitlow, Emily Rogers and Anna Rogers.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; grandson, Lucas Letellier; son-in-law, Richard Collier.

“I Love You More”

Bev was such a special lady and it was truly an honor to care for her in her final days. I will miss enjoying DQ ice cream and double bacon cheeseburgers! Her infectious smile and humor will be missed greatly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sorry we couldn’t make it to the funeral. The roads were all ice here on Friday and then snow covered.
Thank you David for keeping in touch with updates.
God’s comfort and peace be with you in the days and weeks ahead.
