Betty Lou Hettinger (81) of Buffalo passed away March 17, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Betty was born in Montalba, Texas Jannuary 21, 1936.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Lock and Zula (Smith) Lock, a Sister Laura Hadley, Brothers; David Lock, Billie Lock, James Lock and John Lock, all residents of Texas.
She is survived by a Son: Paul Hettinger (Mamie) and by a daughter: Mary Hettinger of Buffalo; Sisters: Margaret Moore, of New Caney, TX and Martha Blanton of Moore, OK; Brothers: Joe (Mary) Lock of New Caney, TX and Sammie Lock of Texarkana, Arkansas; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Betty lived in Crowley, Louisiana until 1986 when she moved to Buffalo. She was a cook for many years at local restaurants; she retired working as a cashier at Gordy’s Foods in downtown Buffalo.
Betty enjoyed playing computer and video games, reading, puzzle books, and watching her favorite TV show “COPS”. She was faithful to the Lord and loved her family with all her heart; she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
A Visitation will begin at 10 am Friday, March 24, 2017 at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
A Memorial Service for Betty Lou Hettinger will be held on Friday, March 24th at 11:00 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
