Betty Lou Anderson, age 72, formally of Buffalo and Palm Springs, CA passed away on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at CentraCare Nursing Home in Monticello.
She was born on November 11, 1941 in Glencoe the daughter of Raymond & Elda (Stuedemann) Reinitz.
Betty earned a B.S. Degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. She was married at the time and they and their two boys moved to Buffalo area. She worked in a variety of nursing jobs from Staff Nurse to some leadership positions. Betty enjoyed doing volunteer work at Zion Lutheran Church. Betty did a lot of Missions work highlighted by a missions trip to The People’s Republic of China. There were other overseas trips to Southeast Asia, El Salvador and Nicaragua and Europe.

Betty earned her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from The College of St. Catherine. After the death of her son Shawn, she moved to Southern California where she worked as a Quality Control Nurse at Palm Desert Hospital in the Palm Springs area.

She enjoyed traveling, collecting Angels, crocheting, quilting, getting together with friends, a good book or movie, exploring garage sales & antique shops.

Betty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Survived by a son: Dean Anderson; grandsons: Cody & Jared Anderson; granddaughters: Jessica Anderson and Amanda Wolf; great grandchildren: Shawn, Ava, Cameron & Alex; a sister: Nancy (Scott) Radford; brothers: Robert (Diane) Reinitz and Randy (Carol) Reinitz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Elda Reinitz and by a son: Shawn.

A Memorial service for Betty Lou Anderson will be held on Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Inurnment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

A time of gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 29th one hour prior to services at the church.
