You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Grandma Betty, We know that you are home with The Lord and Grandpa John, but, you will be missed and will always be in our hearts.
    We love you

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed, I’m sure. She was such a wonderful Christian lady and I am sure she is dancing the streets of heaven now with John.

I first knew Betty as a Weight Watcher. She used to come to my meetings and it was such a joy to see her walk in. What joy she spread to all the other members because she was always giving them encouragement. I remember in the days when Betty used to come to the meetings we gave away a bookmark for the first 10 pounds lost. Betty always seemed to get to about 5 pounds and then could not seem to go on from there. I remember when she reached that stage, we so wanted to reward her in some way. So we took the 10 pound bookmark and cut it in half diagonally and gave her that part of the bookmark, keeping the rest of the bookmark til she reached that milestone too. She seemed to love it!

I also visited Betty in her book store many times and she showed her loving, kind, compassionate self there also. Betty will be missed by us all. But I know her soul and spirit now reside in a far better place.

My husband(Charles) and I send our deepest sympathy to you.
Betty was the first Christian lady I met when we moved to Buffalo in 1996. I didn’t know anyone in town and was very lonely so I decided to go the Living Water store to meet a someone who knew the Lord. Betty was such a welcoming and caring woman. We talked and connected right away. After a few visits she took me out to lunch while John(Mr. Smiley) took care of the store. John was also friendly. He shared that he managed the bus garage in Howard Lake. This is where I teach. Your parents and grandparents touched my life. They were some classy people. Blessings to you all.
