Betty Ault (Hietapelto), age 72, of Waverly, formerly of Killen, AL. Betty is survived by her children: Amy (Roger Reinsch) Hietapelto, of Eau Claire, WI, Melissa (Bill) Morris, of Waverly, MN, David (Lina Lelchuk) Hietapelto, of West Palm Beach, FL and Hugo (Penny) Hietapelto, of Duluth, MN; her grandchildren: George, Wayne, Danny, Katie, Megan, Joe, Kelly, Corey, Mary Beth, Anika, Maggie and Colin; her siblings: Carolyn Walker, Kathleen Corte and John McTigue; Betty is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Betty will be greatly missed by her beloved Pug Max. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ault, two grandchildren, Nicholas Pierce and Meredith Morris, and a grand daughter in law, Jennifer Morris. Betty was an avid reader and gardener. As an artist, she loved to paint and used many media in her art. She loved to collect things and enjoyed going antique shopping.
A Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN. Pastor Christian Bode officiated. Sandy Baert played the organ while Deb Chapa sang. A gathering time was held one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers were Bill Morris, George Morris, Megan Morris, Hugo Hietapelto, Corey Hietapelto, Colin Hietapelto and David Hietapelto. Burial will be at a later date.
