Bernard Louis Kirscht, age 76, of St. Michael & formerly of Monticello died Saturday, May 24th, 2008 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

He was born on July 22, 1931 in Monticello Township, Wright County the son of Lando & Nora Dynan Kirscht.

Bernard graduated from Monticello High School in 1949.

On October 1, 1955, Bernard Kirscht and Ruth Leger were joined in holy marriage at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Osseo. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Mr. & Mrs. Kirsch engaged in dairy farming until 1985. Bernard later managed The AME Plant in Buffalo and worked there until three years ago.

He was a faithful, past member of St. Henry™s Catholic Church in Monticello, served eighteen years on The Monticello School Board, many years on The Wright County Board of Adjustments, was an avid reader, belonged to The Republican Party and was a frequent contributor to The Monticello Times.

Survived by loving wife of fifty two years: Ruth Kirscht; children: Joseph (Ruth) Kirscht and Leslie (Andrew) Holker all of Monticello, Kathleen (Raul) Garza of Coppell, Texas, Ron (Julie) Kirsch of Garfield and Leonard (Fay) Kirscht of Rogers; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and four step grandchildren; a sister: Joanne Link of Monticello; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Lando & Nora Kirscht, son-in-law: Alan Sutton, a brother: George Kirscht, sister: Mary Arnold, two brothers-in-law: Vernon Arnold and Kenneth Link, and by a sister-in-law: Harriet Kirscht.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernard Kirscht will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 28th at Church of St. Albert in Albertville, where he was currently a member. Father Peter Richards will be the Celebrant and interment will follow at St. Henry™s Catholic Cemetery in Monticello.

A visitation will be held at the Church on Tuesday, May 27th from 4-8 P.M. Prayer Service 7:30 P.M.

Casket Bearers are Justin Anderson, Henry Kirscht, Cody Sutton, Daniel Kirscht, David Kirscht, Steven Sutton, Michael Kirscht, Charlie Kirscht and Kevin Garza
