December 1, 1938 – March 15, 2024

Beatrice Leone Anderson, age 85, formerly of Monticello, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at The Legacy of St. Michael.

She was born on December 1, 1938 in Astoria, South Dakota the daughter of Harold & Dora (Nelson) Froiland.

On December 23, 1961, Beatrice L. Froiland and Gerald Anderson were joined in holy marriage at First Lutheran Church in Fullerton, California.   God blessed their marriage with two sons.

She started her career as a LPN, working at various clinics eventually moving into patient accounts and retiring from The Clinic of Neurology.

She was a very caring person who loved her grandchildren and enjoyed helping others.   Beatrice also was fond of playing cards, bingo and dining out.

Survived by a son: Joel (Kim) Anderson of Hanover; a daughter in law: Julie Anderson of Rogers; grandchildren: Nicholas, Liam and Daniel; special friends: Mai & Thai Ri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Gerald Anderson Sr., a son Gerald “Andy” Anderson Jr., grandson Anthony Anderson, her parents and by a sister LaVonne “Bonnie” Bowen.

A Memorial Service for Beatrice Anderson will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held on Saturday morning, April 27th one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

A luncheon will follow.

Entombment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Columbarium.

    So blessed to have met Bea when she visited a relative at the Hendricks nursing home several years ago. We kept in touch through facebook after that. My sympathy to her family. The distance is too far for me to drive. A memorial has been given to the Astoria cemetery in honor of Bea. B
