Barbara Marie (Krause) Rancour of Onamia passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
She was born in Buffalo, Minnesota on April 2, 1954 to Richard and Mary (Forsythe) Krause.
She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1972 and St. Cloud University in 1976.
Barb married James “Jim” Rancour on September 15, 1993.
Barb enjoyed gardening, traveling to see friends, raising poodles, scrapbooking and making cards.
Survived by her husband: James “Jim” Rancour; sister: Becky Steiger; nephews: Dustin, Duane, Joe and Richie; a niece: Malorie; and great nieces: Gina, Mia and Mylee; special friends: Beth Ficek and Karen Critcher; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Richard & Mary “Muddy” Krause, a brother Scott Krause and by many other relatives.
A Memorial Service for Barbara Marie (Krause) Rancour and her mother Mary “Muddy” Krause will be held this Spring.
I was surprised by the passing of Barb. Patty just talked to her at Thielen’s in Pierz. She had lost weight and was happy to be retired. I’ve know Barb since about 1995 from when we both worked in Princeton. Patty and I always tried to get together with Barb and Jim at the KC Buffalo Feed each year to catch up. She will be missed. My condolences to Jim and family.
I am so sorry to hear of Barbs passing. I have scrapbooked with Barb in Onamia for years. She was a kind and generous person. Barb will be missed by all of us. My condolences to Jim and her family.
I miss you Auntie! My heartaches. I still can’t believe you’re really gone. Mom gave me some of your cross stitch hoops and stuff. So for her I’m stitching up a special gift. As a way to remember you and keep your memories flowing on for years to come. I love you Auntie Barb. Keep us safe and watch over us!
I am so sorry to hear of her passing, we worked together at PCI in St.Cloud, she was a wonderful person and friend, I will add her to my list of guardian Angel’s.

Barb, you were the sunshine in my life and friends for 44 years. Together we learned life lessons, tempted fate and managed to avoid time behind bars. Well, we may have spent time in bars, just not behind them. I will always love you and will keep you in my heart until we meet again.
So sorry to hear about her death. I’d been trying to contact her for a couple of years since I found that we were DNA matches on Ancestry. She was my 5th cousin and we share Per Persson (born 1760) as our 4th great-grandfather. Donna Krause and Kirk Bengtson are also my DNA-confirmed 5th cousins and are Barbara’s first cousins. Comment *Von 1970 bis Ende der 70er Jahre verband mich mit Barb eine Brieffreundschaft. Ich weiß nicht mehr, warum diese Brieffreundschaft damals eingeschlafen ist, aber ihre Briefe habe ich alle aufbewahrt.
Als ich jetzt beim Aufräumen ihre Briefe fand, fragte mich mein Sohn, ob ich mal versucht hätte, Barb im WWW zu finden. Das hatte ich tatsächlich mehrmals erfolglos versucht. Er fand jetzt die Nachricht über ihren Tod 2021. Das macht mich sehr traurig, ich hätte mich gerne noch mal mit ihr ausgetauscht um zu erfahren, wie ihr Leben verlaufen ist.
