Barbara Jean (nee Schalo) LaVine, age 84, of Montrose passed away on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
She was born on November 2, 1935 in Rogers, Minnesota the daughter of William & Lillie (Reinking) Schalo.
On November 1, 1985, Barbara Jean Schalo and Dean R. LaVine were joined in holy marriage in Delano.
Barbara cleaned houses through the years.
Barbara was a loving and caring person to everyone! She enjoyed cooking and baking bread. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren! She also loved her dogs.
Survived by her loving husband of thirty-four years: Dean R. LaVine; Children: “J.R.” (Marsha) Leffler, Sheila (Howard) Klaers, Ricky (Denise) Leffler, Bruce Leffler,, Lori (Joe) Adickes, Robert Leffler and Darrien Leffler; step children: Earl (Mickey) LaVine and Lora LaVine; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, a grandson Ryan Simmang and by a step daughter Sheree Wagner.
Funeral Services for Barbara LaVine will be held on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. Pastor Luke Schmidt will officiate.
Interment will follow at Hanover City Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, December 19th one hour prior to services at the church.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Piper Johanson, Anna Brummer, Maxtyn Twingstrom, Chloe Lusian, Brenda Anderson, Melissa Lusian, Wendy Kirschenman, Amanda Leffler, Brielyn Leffler, Patty Paschke, Mickey Johanson, Serenity Simmang and Caitlyn Wayman.
Casket Bearers Blaine Lusian, Michael Leffler, Derrick Klaers, Rylee Simmang, Josh Leffler, Karsen Simmang, Owen Anderson, Austin Anderson, Tyler Potvin, Bradain Barnett and Dakota Klaers.
