In loving memory of Barbara Ellen Waters: Barbara peacefully passed away on November 24, 2023, surrounded by her adoring family in St. Michael, MN. She was born on October 21, 1950 in Mitchell, SD to Arnold and Ila (Schiltz) Wiese.

She was joined in marriage to her first husband, Daniel Eberhart in 1972. The two were married until his passing in 1991. She then was joined in marriage to Fenelon “Ashley” Waters in 1995.

Together they embarked on numerous travel adventures and were longtime residents of Huntsville, TX. A devoted mother, she held a special place in her heart for her son, Mike Eberhart (Jacqui). As a caring stepmother, she warmly embraced Christopher Waters (Lara) and Alana Waters-Piper (David) into her life. Barbara’s boundless love extended to her seven cherished grandchildren: Daniel, Adyson, Constance, Sophia, Evan, Alex, and William. She adored being a grandma and took great joy in creating treasured moments with each of them.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arnie and Ila Wiese; and recently her husband Ashley, who passed away December 8, 2023.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, as well as her brothers, Alan Wiese (Lisa) and David Wiese. A beacon of love, she endeared herself to all as a mother, stepmother, cherished friend, devoted wife, and beloved grandmother.

Her decades-long career in retail stood as a testament to her unwavering dedication and hard work, rooted in the farmlands of South Dakota. Barbara found joy in life’s simple pleasures, sharing laughter during HGTV sessions, passionately cheering for her Minnesota Vikings, and creating enduring memories with those she loved.

As we bid our final farewell, let the spirit of Barbara’s love and resilience continue to live on in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date in Huntsville, Texas.

Even though we didn’t know Barbara personally, it sounded as though she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she met. We will be praying for Ashley and the rest of their family
